  Called into Pitlochry on my way to catch the last sailing of the Cairnryan ferry to Belfast last week-end. I just love the Blackwatch tartan. I had spied a great deal on scarves at the door of the shop. Real soft too, not like the ones which are more prickly. So I decided to purchase one for myself and hubby chose his own. On this occasion I had the great pleasure to be served by a most courteous and pleasant young man at the till. It was the type of service I heard as a child, that my parents expected and indeed enjoyed and I am afraid we have all too easily lost. The fact that I am writing about it proves it! However full marks to the young man. An excellent ambassador for the store and indeed Pitlochry itself. It is a lovely store but staff with manners like what this young man had and who was mannerly enough after I had made my purchase to bid you the time of day will ensure that I will return. I am in the fortunate position to be able to visit family in this part of the world pretty often and I shall be back.
